ADMT Lesson 1 Environment-Tor Ming En

Our selfish acts will, of course, bring about the Earth's doom. We have to start changing our attitude in order to prevent this from occurring. We should start to conserve our natural resources like trees, freshwater, etc. I think we can stop pollution by wasting lesser resources. We can also reuse, reduce and recycle everything. We can help save the Earth by cutting down on our wastage and protecting our pleasant environment. I think the main problem our planet is facing is the global warming. Most people understand that carbon dioxide and methane are the main gases that contribute to global warming. Since cows produce a lot of methane gas, we should cut down on beef, thus resulting in lesser cows which can potentially produce methane. We should also construct more environmental-friendly buildings that converts carbon dioxide to oxygen.

Recycle, recycle, and recycle. If we all do a small part, like turning the water off when we're brushing our teeth or clean out a jar of jelly and keep loose change in it or just turning off the lights in rooms that no one is in or maybe ridding a bike to school/work and if you're not a fan of biking, make a carpool with your friends! There are still more that a billion ways to save the planet, and if you want to see your own children grow up on this earth, just do a small part, just a tinny little part once every day and if everyone else does too, slowly but surly, we'll save the planet!

ADMT ENVIRONMENT- LESSON 1

In my opinion, human's selfish ways will destroy the Earth if they do not change. Their disrespect  to mother Earth will cause everyone to lose Earth. So we all must try to do our part in saving Earth. We must also conserve our natural resources do further generations can use them. We should all recycle, reduce and reuse and host campaigns to save earth

ADMT Lesson 1 Environment - Ma Wen An, Joshua

Human Being's selfish acts will surely bring about the Earth's doom. In order to save the Earth, we should not waste natural resources such as wood and paper by reducing the how much of these resources we use. We should also reuse precious resources such as water so we will not waste it. Lastly, we should also recycle items such as paper and aluminium cans so we can still use it again. By recycling, reusing, and reducing, we will be able to reduce the amount of pollution. This way, we will be able to prevent the Earth's doom.

ADMT Lesson 1 Environment- Loh Cheng Ngee

Yes, sooner or later, the Earth will fall thanks to the dominant species-humans. Clearing forests, leaving electrical appliances on and throwing litter into rivers leave the Earth with very little natural resources. Fossil fuels can only last us for another fifty years or even less, now that there are more cars on the road everyday. Moreover, many people know about the problem of global warming, but though they know it can kill in the long run, they are just not caring enough just to take one more step and recycle the things they use. Turning off electrical appliances at the main switch can save a lot of money and fossil fuels, switching to energy-saving bulbs will also help save energy.

I think if we continue to be like the same in future using the Earth resources. The sea levels will rise and many areas will be flooded. I think that people who drive cars should either switch to environmentally cars or don't drive anymore. We can also take shorter showers.

ADMT Lesson 1 Environment - Cheng Zhi Chao

How can we save the Earth? There are a lot of ways to do it and I am sure everyone can take the initiative to help, too. For instant, we should conserve natural resources.

I once read that the world's supply of oil was going to run out in about 50 to 100 years time. and the world's supply of coal would deplete in half that time. And we can all see how many people depend on these fossil fuels for profit and for everyday use. If they were to all disappear one day, there would probably have no vehicles, no electricity, and no heat for cooking, etc. The world would be a terrible place to live in. But it is much worse problem than that. Besides fossil fuels, metals like gold and iron, and usable water are in short supply. If we do not have clean water to drink, the Human race would be history. And without most metals, we would not have tools for everyday work and everyone would probably have to become coolies like back in 19th century Singapore.

The second problem Man is facing is caused by Man himself - pollution. No matter where, air, land, or water, you can find pollution. Pollution is like dirtying our environment. Dumping industrial wastes illegally in a river, throwing large amounts of rubbish on land and filling the air with clouds of toxic gases are just some of the many ways of pollution. Now many might wonder what are the impacts of pollution on the environment. Well, again, too much pollution can mean the downfall of mankind. And here is an example. Let's say a factory produces too much toxic gases. Trees can help clean the air but they all died of land pollution. Rotting rubbish underground created poisons that killed all the trees. The poisons also leaked into the waters, killing the fish and other marine creatures. Then, meanwhile, the toxic gases float up to the clouds and come down as acid rain. The acid rain would pollute what is left of the waterways and reservoirs.

This is all very appalling, but there are ways to cope with this situation.

Firstly, conserve electricity and fossil fuels by taking public transport. And at the same time, find an environmentally - friendly way to operate automobiles.

Secondly, practice the 3Rs, reduce, reuse, and recycle. Reduce and recycle old non-biodegradable objects, like plastics and metal.

Thirdly, save water. Turn off taps after using them. Use water for washing rice to water plants. These are practical ways to save water. If everyone can follow them, the usage of water would be less.

Lastly, dispose of rubbish well.

ADMT Lesson 1 Environment- Grace Tan

Will human beings' selfish acts bring about the Earth's doom?
What we can we do to save the Earth?

Human beings' selfish acts WILL bring about the Earth's doom as pollution kills and/or deforms living things like water pollution would suffocate sea animals and kill them. Human beings just want to improve their world and to be up to standard, so they only think about themselves, not about the other living things on earth. So once they die, we will not have food, so we will start dying and soon our earth would come to an end.

We can help to promote the importance of reusing, reducing and recycling to help in doing our part to save the earth. We can do it by posting videos, making flyers and posters and to draw what will it be like if we continue depleting Mother Nature's reserves and to show it to the world.

ADMT Lesson 1 Environment - Tan Jian Hui

Human beings' selfish acts will eventually bring about the Earth's doom, as we can see that excess industrialization can lead to global warming. We can do our own part by following the 3 R's: reducing, reusing and recycling.

Reuse: Purchase durable and long-lasting goods, etc...

Reuse: Reusing boxes and donating things we do not need to the salvation army instead  of throwing it away, etc...

Recycle: Disposing recyclable materials in the right bins, etc…

ADMT Lesson 1 Environment - Chan Jing Jie

Will human beings' selfish acts bring about the Earth's doom?

Yes. At the current speed of carbon dioxide being released into the air, humans' acts will bring about Earth's doom.

Nowadays, more and more cars are coming onto the road. As cars give out carbon dioxide, more of it will be released into the environment. As the factories are also burning lots of fossil fuels, voluminous amounts of carbon dioxide would then be produced, contributing to the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Moreover, more trees are still getting chopped down. In some events, the forest would have a fire. This would then produce a large amount of carbon dioxide. Like this, the earth's temperature would start to rise. As the temperature rises, the ice in the north and south pole would start to melt, changing from solid to liquid state. This would then cause the water level in the sea to rise. At this rate, the whole earth would be buried under water in no time. Is it really that important to have your own car and using the fossil fuels to harm the Earth? Sometimes, I ask myself why are humans' so selfish? Why cant human just lead a simple life ?

What we can we do to save the Earth?

We can start conserving water. If possible, someone should invent machines that are able to get rid of the carbon dioxide in the air. More people should start taking public transport bus services as it reduces a lot of carbon dioxide given out compared to the cars. Scientists should find out ways to reduce the damage done to the Earth. Furthermore, we could also use the 3"R"s to keep the earth keep from pollution.

ADMT Lesson 1 Environment- Khit Sue Lun

Will human beings' selfish acts bring about the Earth's doom?
YES! Excessive release of CO2 into the atmosphere has already started to cause grave problems, including global warming and the change of weather patterns. This also brings in rising sea levels, a threat to all the countries in the world. The problem would continue to get worse as the world persists in burning extreme amounts of fossil fuel. As I type this out, I start to ponder over a question- Is fossil fuels a blessing, or a curse to Mother Nature? Do you know that there would be countries that will be submerged soon if sea levels continue to rise at such a rapid pace? Is this something that can be taken lightly? In my opinion, the world would be a much better place without the domination of human beings. Imagine...a world without pollution, filled with greenery... Animals and plants can respect their environment and work well with it. Why is it that we human beings can't follow suit?

What we can we do to save the Earth?
We should conserve water and try to find new ways to reduce the impact of global warming. To do that,we have to be innovative and explore fields which were never even heard of before.

ADMT Lesson 1 Environment - Chong Guang Jun

Yes, it will bring about the Earth's doom. To save the earth, we should conserve our sources, like the water tap when we are brushing our teeth and taking lesser time for energy wasting activities. There is too much pollution on the earth and we should try not to drive to our destinations. We should also recycle so that there is lesser pollution.

ADMT Lesson 1 Environment - Lim Zhi Qi, Crimson

In my opinion, human selfish actions will bring about the Earth's doom. However, we can reduce the damage by doing the 3Rs. Example, we can recycle old clothes into rags to wipe the floor. We can reuse old materials to make new ones. We can reduce the usage of water by taking a bath instead of a shower.

Oh Sher Li

If humans continue to disregard Mother Nature and keep on using up the Earth's resources unfairly or excessively (e.g. not recycling whenever possible) or continue polluting water bodies or the air, then sooner or later, we will surely bring about the world's doom. We have already created a hole in the ozone layer and have not tried our best to stop - how long will it be before something else major happens? Will we only start to change then?

From my point of view, we should reuse, reduce and recycle more often to ensure the survival of not only the human race, but the survival of other species of animals and plants as well. We can conserve resources more often as well.

Man's selfish acts will definitely bring about Earth's doom, because once we go against nature's equilibrium, we would have to face the consequences.

We must save the Earth by reducing, reusing and recycling. We can think of innovative ways to generate electricity, save electricity, etc.

In doing so, we can conserve the Earth's resources and stop the destruction of the Earth.
